Conserving Pune’s Lifeline!
30th April 2013, marked the start of a movement to save the rivers Mula-Mutha from degradation due to pollution. Various environmental organizations and nature lovers from Pune came to ‘Vishwabhavan Auditorium of Symbiosis Institute’ for this conference. This conference was organized by Darode-Jog properties.

Dr. Rajendra Singh, also known as ‘The waterman of India’ was the Chief Guest and Speaker for this event.  MLA Mr. Girish Bapat was the guest of honour.

An action plan, with the help of citizens, for saving the Mula-Mutha River against the exceeding pollution was framed. The discussion was actively participated by Mr. Sudhir Darode and Mr. Anand Jog, (Director  Darode-Jog Properties),Mr. Satish Magar(CMD Magarpatta Township) Rajendra Pate(President  MBVA),Mr. Vinod Bodhankar( Environmentalist). Panel discussion moderated by Mr. Sandip Joshi (Director SERI).

The documentary “Akrosh Mula Muthecha” was also shown. The documentary covers the pollution of the river from its mouth till the Ujjani dam.

Darode –Jog Properties in association with Tellus organization, Ocean savers of India, Srushti Eco Research Institute (SERI) and JalBiradari have successfully conducted this conference to save water bodies.
